What kind of media institution might distribute your product and why?

I think that if my media product had been made to be turned into a feature length film then i would want the distributor to be someone like 20th Century fox, this is because 20th century fox are a massive distribution company, anyone who sees the 20th century fox logo knows that the film they are going to see has been well made, but also because 20th century fox make a lot of great action thrillers which is the same genre as my media product. 20th century fox do a great job distributing films all of the UK and i could not think of a better company to distribute my film. My media product would look appealing to a massive company like 20th century because my film is a typical action thriller, it has guns, chases and violence which are the basics of an action thriller and the genre of an action thriller does so well in the cinema because this allows the viewer to escape from there everyday world into something a little more exciting.

So i think i massive, well known, big budgeted company like 20th century fox would be the best choice for distributing my film.

Also 20th Centuary fox has produced other action thriller films such as "Taken" and "Hitman" these are both action thriller films and they have the same features which my film has, they have guns, violence, chases. Taken and the Hitman both raise the viewer out of their seat by creating tension for the viewer. I think 20th Centuary fox would produce my film because they are well known for producing action thrillers.

       

 20th Centuary fox being owned by News Corporation aswell offers a massive window into being able to promote the film in many ways aswell. News Corporation ownes The Sun, this is perfect for ensuring the film is a massive success because the Sun can promote the flim in their newspaper and offer competitions for free tickets. By doing this it will drag the target audience into watching the film. Another reason why having 20th Centaury fox as a producer is a good idea.

With our regulations for our film after we have made the film i have decided that our filim will be a 15, this is because i beleive that in our film we will not have sexual nature scenese in our film which would bring our film to a 15 because this does not meet the crtieria that meets a 18, also in our film there will be no strong violence, e.g. heads being blown off by guns and bombs but there will be fist fights and blood which takes our film out of the 12 category but again this will not be strong enough to take our film into the 18 category so i think if our film was going to be made in real life then this would be a 15.
